Pickles

By now, you're probably wondering what the heck is going on in my head. So please, allow me to explain:

I've had a thought.

For the last few days, the YFC has been posting on false christians and stuff like that, such as the church (where was it) that was disputing the funeral of some girl

Well, my thought was such:

Pickles are cucumbers that have been saturated in pickle juice, transforming from cucumbers to pickles.

In the same way, and this works both ways, people are like pickles; they will pick up habits and begin to act like the people they hang around with. So if, say, a person hangs out with druggies all the time, and no one but, well, they will undoubtedly become an addict or dealer themselves. Don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are druggies/exdruggies, but still...

On the other hand, if a person were to hang out with Christians all the time, then they will likely act more like them. I've noticed with myself, i tend to begin to act like the people i hang around most. Fortunately, they're pretty good people, and Christians themeselves.

Anyways, now think about this: if a person were to hang out with a combination of both Christians and non, then what will they act like? Or, rather, who?

I'll leave those two question's for you guys to contemplate. But i used the 'rogue church' i guess it could be called as only the most extreme example, (as well as because it was all i could think of...) but anyways...

I'd love to hear from you on this one, see just how crazy you think i am...:P (pretty crazy, admittedly...)

Arniwho, Have a great day all!! :D

P.S. could've called this one 'pickled people', but i though that was just way too off the deep end...hehe :P

Tired and Hyped...

Well, i'm back...so tired i feel like i'm about to just fall over, but...it was worth it.

Concerts 'till 11 or 12 at night, parties in hotel rooms after...lol, didnt sleep till 4:30ish each night..

Who here has heard of Starfield and Family Force 5?? Good bands...the ones that kept me up all night. Now i've gotta try and focus on school work...HAHAHA!

That was likely the longest weekend i've ever had, and i expected it to be short... Time seems to slow down when you have TOO much fun:P

anyways, if i'm rambling or not making sense, please tell me, cuz i'm tired and not sure how coherent this is...i'm barely able to type it, i keep screwing up..

Evolution: Fact or Fiction???

I the other night that in Florida, the public education system was going to make mandatory the study of evolution, from the scientific stand-point; however, they were leaving out the theological component, disregarding it as "not backable by modern science" (or some such) and that they were only introducing and studying so-called "known scientific facts."

Now, although to some degree i believe that forms of evolution do take place over the years, i do not think it takes millions of years, nor do i think the changes are incredibly drastic, as scientists believe. Instead, evolution takes place on a far smaller scale, and rather quickly; look at the technological rEVOLUTION. I find that word rather ironic, given its meaning. However, in the last half century, humanity has evolved rather rapidly technologically, and gaining.

Now, i am not entirely sure how accurate my info is, however the conversation sparked some interesting question for me. Especially the one about the ever-elusive dinosaur: how did they become extinct, how big were they really, etc... I've heard at least one theologian/religious person speak about some ideas he had, from a Christian standpoint, which seemed to make a lot of sense. I forget his name, ill get that to you ASAP. Anyways, this person believed that dinosaurs are not entirely extinct; such as lizards, which, essentially, resemble mini-dinos. Miracle of creation or evolution? This guy also said that MOST dinos weren't all that big to begin with, more or less the size of a chicken or so (regardless of what the dino-museums tell you, they only feature T-rex's anyways!!!). Also, in the Bible, there is reference (i forget where, unfortunately, can someone help me out with this one?) of a great beast with a tail the size of a cedar. Not one of the little tiny ones we gots now; cedars back then were HUGE! before they logged the trees to extinction...(heh heh... really?)

Another question that comes to mind on the topic of evolution is this: How did the human being, Homosapian, "evolve"?

DUH! Adam and Eve were exactly like us, just without the tech... They weren't a couple of monkey people living in the Amazon jungle, they were NORMAL HUMAN BEINGS living in paradise... Besides, with this whole idea of us evolving from a basic primate into what we are now... well, needless to say, it falls into the same category as the Big Bang Theory and randomized existence.

Therefore, how can we, or any other life-form, possibly have evolved on the scale we supposedly did? God created us, CREATED! in a universe where supposedly, nothing can be "created" or "destroyed". As for millions of years, well, from the crucifiction to now has been...2008 years, give or take. Before that, evidence points to around 8-10 thousand years.

Which brings me to my last point: scientists strongly believe that there way is right...Christians, Bhudists, Muslims, etc, strongly belive there ways are the right ones. It all comes down to this: faith.

But biological evolution is still, at best, minute and rare; and as for God, well, as with fusion, just because you can't reproduce it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

Randomosity X-Treme!!!

Being random is fun. No kidding.

My house (and shoes, boots, jacket, bag, and all other personal accesories) are trying to kill me. SO what do you do when your house and everything you own is trying to eat you alive???

A Time of Firsts

I'm finally starting one of these..I figured it's about time, everyone else is doing it, it's a good way to meet people (at least, so it seems...)...

So, to introduce myself. My name is mike, as the title suggests, I live in Canada, and some of you may know my brother, who has become popular rather quickly, what with his excellent writing.
Thus far, that is pretty much all I've got... But not to worry, I'll think of something eventually...
